MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


Market this week shows negative outlook with no origins were reported with an increase.
As Indian Rupee weakened against the US Dollar (INR 79.64 @ 1 USD), recorded 1% depreciation,
the Indian pepper price responded negative for the last two (2) weeks.
Pepper price for Indonesia reported stable and unchanged this week as less transactions after the Eid al-Adha holiday.
Both local and international prices for Malaysia continues to be reported stable and unchanged.
After reported with an increasing trend for the last two (2) weeks,
local price for Sri Lankan pepper reported stable this week.
Only Viet Namese black pepper local price responded negative this week.
Whilst, the rest were reported stable and unchanged.
US and European markets were reported to be very quiet due to the influence of the Global Economic inflation.
In addition, in the past two weeks in many areas, supply has been reported to be tight making it more difficult
to make a turnover. Furthermore, Muntok white pepper was reported at USD 7,050 CF July.
