MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

The pepper market this week showed a mix response with only Indonesian white pepper price reported with a decrease.
Even though the Indian Rupee weakened against the US Dollar (INR 82.54 @1 USD) or 1% depreciation,
the Indian pepper price continued to be reported with an increasing trend for the last three (3) weeks.
After reported stable for the last two (2) weeks, Indonesian black pepper price reported with an increasing trend this week.
Whilst, Indonesian white pepper price reported with a decreasing trend.
Both local and international prices for Malaysian pepper reported stable and unchanged.
As the Sri Lankan Rupee strengthened against the US Dollar (LKR 321.64 @ 1 USD) or 2% appreciation,
local price for Sri Lankan pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend for the last three (3) weeks.
Only Vietnamese international black pepper price reported stable this week. Whilst, the others reported with an increasing trend.
