MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The pepper market this week showed a mix response as Muslims around the world celebrated Eid al-Adha earlier this week.
Both local and international price for Indian pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend in the last five (5) weeks.
Event though the Indonesian Rupiah weakened against US Dollar (IDR 16,415 @ 1 USD) or 1% depreciation,
both local and international price for Indonesian pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend since last week.
Local price for Malaysian pepper continued to be reported with an increasing trend for the last two (2) weeks.
Furthermore, International price for Malaysian pepper also reported with an increasing trend.
After reported with an increasing trend for the last five (5) weeks,
the local price for Sri Lankan pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week.
Only Vietnamese local black pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week.
Whilst, the others reported stable.

After reported with an increasing trend for the last three (3) weeks, Brazilian black pepper reported with a decreasing trend this week.
Furthermore, both Chinese white pepper and Cambodian black pepper continued to be reported stable and unchanged.
