MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


The global pepper market exhibited a downward trend this week. Market activity in the United States remained subdued, amidst continued volatility in shipping rates following the Iran-Israel conflict.
Both local and international prices of Indian pepper declined for the second consecutive week.
Local and international prices of Indonesian pepper remained stable throughout the week.
Domestic prices of Malaysian black pepper held steady for a second week; however, other Malaysian pepper varieties experienced a downward trend.
Following three consecutive weeks of decline, the local price of Sri Lankan pepper recorded a notable upward movement during the week.
Local and international prices of Vietnamese pepper continued their downward trajectory, marking the fifth consecutive week of decline.

Brazilian black pepper prices fell for a second consecutive week, while prices of Cambodian black pepper and Chinese white pepper remained stable and unchanged.
Between 2023 and April 2025, the Czech Republic exported a total of 415 metric tons of pepper, with Germany emerging as the leading importer (324 Mt), followed by Poland, Norway, Slovakia, and Croatia.
