MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


Market this week showed a mixed response with Indonesia black pepper price recorded the highest increase.
After reported with an increasing trend for the last two (2) weeks, Indian pepper price responded negative
this week which could be contributed to the weakening of Indian Rupee against the US Dollar (INR 79.46 @ 1 USD), recording 1% depreciation.
Black pepper price for Indonesia continued to be reported positive this week. Whilst,
Indonesian white pepper price reported stable as some pepper harvests in Lampung have been completed.
Both local and international price for Malaysia continued to be reported stable since mid-May 2022.
Local price for Sri Lankan pepper continued to be reported stable since last week.
Viet Nam international white pepper price continued to be reported with a decreasing trend this week.
Whilst, the rest were reported stable.
Export of Pepper by Belgium (2020 - 2022).
