MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


Market this week continued to show a rather negative outlook with no origins reported with an increase for the last three (3) weeks.
After reported with a decreasing trend for the last four (4) weeks, Indian pepper price reported stable this week.
As the Indonesian Rupiah weakened against the US Dollar (IDR 15,526 @ 1 USD),
recorded 1% depreciation, pepper price for Indonesia responded with negative outlook
as less pepper transactions and some commodity prices were mostly down.
Malaysian local price continued to be reported with a decreasing trend this week which could be
contributed to the weakening of the Malaysian Ringgit against the US Dollar (MYR 4.72 @ 1 USD),
recording a 1% depreciation. Whilst the international price for Malaysia reported stable and unchanged.
Local price for Sri Lankan pepper remained stable for the last three (3) weeks.
As the Viet Nam Dong weakened against the US Dollar (VND 24,380 @ 1 USD),
recorded 2% depreciation, local and international prices for Viet Nam remained negative
since the fourth week of September.
