MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

The pepper market this week showed a rather positive outlook with no origin reported with a decrease.

The Indian pepper price reported stable this week.

Indonesian black pepper price reported with an increasing trend this week. Whilst, Indonesian white pepper price reported stable.

Both local and international prices for Malaysian pepper reported stable and unchanged.

As the Sri Lankan Rupee strengthened against the US Dollar (LKR 317.28 @ 1 USD) or 1% appreciation,
local price for Sri Lankan pepper reported with an increasing trend this week.

Both local and international prices for Viet Nam continued to be reported with an increasing since the end of April.

Pepper prices continued to be reported with an increasing trend for the last two (2) weeks which could be contributed
to the increase of demand from China, Middle East Countries and the US market. Furthermore, Muntok white pepper was reported
at USD 6,100 CF for May / June. This week ASTA is organizing the ASTA Annual Meeting and Exhibits 2023, May 9 â€“ 11 in Hilton San Diego Bayfront.
