MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS

Market this week showed mixed response with only India pepper price recorded a decrease.

Indian pepper price responding negatively this week.

Both local and international prices for Indonesia were reported stable this week as less stock at farmers level.

Both local and international price for Malaysia continued to be reported stable since the beginning of this month.

Even though Sri Lankan Rupee continued to be weakened against the US Dollar (LKR 281.08 @ 1 USD), recorded 6% depreciation, local price for Sri Lanka responded positively this week.

Only Viet Nam international price reported positive this week. Whilst, local price reported stable

USA as well as European market prices were reported with a slight dip for the last two weeks. Furthermore, Muntok white pepper was reported at USD 7,525 CF Apr/May.
