MARKET REPORT - KEY HIGHLIGHTS


Market this week showed a rather negative outlook with no origins were reported with an increase.
As Indian Rupee weakened against the US Dollar (INR 77.36 @ 1 USD), recorded 1% depreciation, Indian pepper price responded negatively this week.
The market reopened after Moslems in Indonesia celebrated the Eid Fitr Mubarak 1443 H last week. Furthermore, the market was reported with less transaction.

 

Local price for Malaysian pepper responding negatively this week due to the weakening of the Malaysian Ringgit against the US Dollar (MYR 4.38 @ 1 USD),
recorded 0.5% depreciation. Whilst, international price for Malaysia continued reported stable this week.
After two weeks with an increasing trend, local price for Sri Lanka pepper responded negatively this week due to the weakening of Sri Lankan Rupee
against the US Dollar (LKR 362.86 @ 1 USD), recorded 4% depreciation.
Only Viet Nam white pepper local price reported stable this week. Whilst, the rest were reported with a decreasing trend.
