Crop Protection Resources and Contaminant in Pepper
With Sustainable development for the whole food supply including pepper getting more and more popular, Farmers are looking for method to ensure sustainability of their crops. Eco-friendly product/green product (natural origin with relatively low impact to human/animal health as well as the environment) of crop protection resources become one of their alternative steps taken.
Flonicamid and Spriomesifen are two examples of green protection resources for pepper. In a research conducted by Eurofins, Flonicamid is only detected 3% with only 33% values above the MRL while Spiromesifen is only detected 2% with each value below the MRL. It is also known from the research that the most detected substances on pepper are Acetamiprid and Cypermethrin.
