IPC Should Monitor Supply And Demand Scenario For Pepper, Says Uggah
KUCHING, Nov 11 (Bernama) -- The International Pepper Community (IPC), an intergovernmental organisation of pepper producing countries, should continue to monitor the supply and demand scenario for pepper, taking into account its direct impact on prices. Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Douglas Uggah Embas said last year, global pepper production increased two per cent to 324,090 tonnes compared with an output of 317,750 metric tonnes recorded in 2011.
