0,01 mg/kg residue limit for chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos- methyl valid on 13 November 2020 in Europe
The European Commission had released a corrigendum to Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/1085 of 23 July 2020 amending Annexes II and V to Regulation (EC) No. 396/205 as regards to maximum residue levels for chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos-methyl in or on certain product, on 24 July 2020. The Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/1085 which was an amendment to revise the maximum residue limit of both active substance to the limit of analytical determination of 0.01 mg/kg, had wrongly stated that such regulation would come into force from 6 August 2020. Thus, the corrigendum was released so as to rectify the date of which the regulation come into force to 13 November 2020. As further stipulated in previous news on this issue, there would be no transitional time or sales periods for product already imported or on the market and the new MRLs of 0,01 mg/kg would be the sole basis for evaluation of all residue analyses after 13 November 2020.
