Global Pepper Cooperation, Resilient Futures
On 27 February 2026, the International Pepper Community (IPC), led by Executive Director Ms. Marina Novira Anggraini, held a high-level meeting with H.E. Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of UNESCAP, on the sidelines of the 13th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (#APFSD).
In a time of geopolitical shifts, evolving trade dynamics, and rising sustainability expectations, the future of the pepper sector requires more than adaptation; it requires alignment and partnership.
The discussion focused on three strategic priorities: renewing IPC’s institutional framework to remain responsive to a changing global market; strengthening alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals; and deepening collaboration with UNESCAP to better support pepper-producing communities across the Asia-Pacific region.
Resilience in today’s world is built through cooperation. By reinforcing dialogue and advancing collective action, IPC continues to position the global pepper sector as competitive, inclusive, and firmly anchored within the broader sustainable development agenda.
